SINULOG

Sinulog 2017 The Sinulog festival is one of the grandest, most distinguished and most colorful festivals in the Philippines. The major festival is held each year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus, who used to be the patron saint of the whole province of Cebu (since in the Catholic faith Jesus is not a saint, but God). It is fundamentally a dance ritual which remembers the Filipino people's pagan past and their recognition of Christianity. The festival features some the country's most colorful displays of ceremony and pageantry: participants clothe in bright-colored costumes dance to the rhythm of drums and native gongs. The streets are generally lined with vendors and pedestrians all wanting to witness the street-dancing. Smaller versions of the festival are also held in different parts of the province, also to celebrate and honor the Santo Niño. There is also a Sinulog sa Kabataan, which is performed by the youths of Cebu a week before the Grand Parade. Recently, the cultural event has been commercialized as a tourist attraction and instead of traditional street-dancing from locals, Sinulog also came to mean a contest highlighting groups from various parts of the country. The Sinulog Contest is traditionally held in the Cebu City Sports Complex, where most of Cebu's major provincial events are held. Sinulog is one of the biggest celebration here in Cebu, ti honor Senior Sto. Niño. Many people came here specially Filipino people from Luzon and Mindanao to witness the said celebration, yet foreigners never fall last in line. Celebrities such as, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil with the primetime king, Coco Martin with the Ang Probinsyano's cast. But i have just seen it ? live television. I spend My time with my family. And i already decided not to go to sinulog also because of the weather and the bomb treat. Many people went to "Abellana National Sport Center" because they held the dance contest.

COLLEGE DAYS

COLLEGE DAY Febuary 9&10, We celebrated the college day at sambag 1 covered court.that day, A lot of activities that we performed inside the sambag 1 covered court. Also in CTS-C they held some of the activities quadrangle. It was a very fabolus day as I experience the best day of my stay as a here in college of technological sciences- cebu. February 9 the first day it was The opening day the celebration started with a parade from the building of school itsef to sambag 1 gym. After we walked for a minutes , and after we arrived at the gym there the real spirit of excitement was seen in every students face as the program started with a bang, there was a bond playing a lively music. The program were hosted by the round lady ms.Nelvieblasco and the very tall man cresryanparonginog the yells and done competition were with nessed on that day. During this event me and my friend go to velez house and after that we go to pardocebu city and we arrived and we eat toslobbowa because me and my friends are so hungry. And after eat toslobbowa I go home earlier because im not feeling well on that day . and after I arrived my house I take a medicince and I sleep a few of minutes to get recovery  After that we decided to travel anywhere but Velez said that he want to get his form 137 at Donsergio National High school. But when we arrived at the school, the school's Registrar's Office was closed and we just decided to go to Pardo to eat "tuslob buwa". When we are done eating Lienver said that he likes to go home because he suffers from stomach ache. Cyra and Michael goes back to school for the blue slip that is to be signed by the coaches. College Day is an opportunity for you to meet classmates within your specific college, meet faculty, administrators, and your academic advisor, as well as learn the expectations that your college has of you

My learnings in this subject is, statistics and probability is very important tools in many fields of human endeavor.Statistics and probability is designed to deepen my understanding of and make me appreciate the real life importance of the science of data processing and forecasting events.Though the learning activities, enriched the goal of the K-12 curriculum to home me as a self regulated learner armed with critical thingking and sound reasoning skills.

"Number rule the universe" a saying that really best reflects through math. I have experienced and proven that number is everything in this world from home to school. I always think about all my learnings especially statistics and probability subject. though i'm really having a headache just thingking about it, I can't help it but found myself under it's spell.

Considering the randomness and uncertainties of life, decision making is a very essential skill that we must possess now a days. Everyday we face various situations that require us to make sensible decisions. For instance, You decided whether or not to take a certain college degree since there are many factors to consider or you want to know whether or not to buy a certain product after knowing the history of the company that manufactured it. These and other similar events and situations in real life can be better decided only with careful choices that can only be made with precise anticipation of chances.

Probability is the body of knowledge that focuses on activities that involve predicting chances and quantifying he randomness of events. Because of its practically in the real world, probability has been included in the regular high school curriculum, It has many applications in various fields of human activity such as in statistics, business, political science, economics, manufacturing industry, education and so on.

Probability allows us to appreciate its importance. It covers essential topics from counting techniques to sample distribution which arrange inductively, taking into consideration background knowledge of other mathematics disciplines such as algebra. In addition, those topics covered in the modules are sequentially arrange, nothing that the previous module is a prerequisite to the next, thereby,deepening your understanding and grasp of the subject.

Probability and Statistics or also called Statistics and Probability are two related but separate academic disciplines. Statistical analysis often uses probability distributions, and the two topics are often studied together. However, probability theory contains much that is mostly of mathematical interest and not directly relevant to statistics. Moreover, many topics in statistics are independent of probability theory.
Statistics and probability are sections of mathematics that deal with data collection and analysis. Probability is the study of chance and is a very fundamental subject that we apply in everyday living, while statistics is more concerned with how we handle data using different analysis techniques and collection methods. These two subjects always go hand in hand and thus you can't study one without studying the other

This unit introduces learners to the logic as well as the technical side of the main forms of inference: point estimation, interval estimation and hypothesis testing. The unit covers inferential methods for the population mean and population proportion, inferential methods for comparing the means of two groups and of more than two groups. the Chi-Square test for independence and linear regression. The unit reinforces the framework that the course participants were introduced to in the Exploratory Data Analysis for choosing the appropriate, in this case, inferential method in various data analysis scenarios.

I've learned a lot of statistics and probability although there are some topics that is hard for me to understand but i'm trying my best to understand those. Even though i hate number. actually i don't like this kind of subject, i don't have interest in this subject. But i realize that it is important

In this course the unit is a classical treatment of probability and includes basic probability principles, finding probability of events, conditional probability, discrete random variables (including the Binomial distribution) and continuous random variables (with emphasis on the normal distribution). The probability unit culminates in a discussion of sampling distributions that is grounded in simulation. For a streamlined version of probability that forgoes the classical treatment of probability in favor of an empirical approach using relative frequency, course participants may see the OLI Statistical Reasoning course.

S I N U L O G

The Sinulog-Santo Niño Festival is an annual cultural and religious festival held on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City, and is the centre of the Santo Niño Catholic celebrations in the Philippines.The festival is considered to be one of the most popular festivals in the Philippines, with every celebration of the festival routinely attracting around 1 to 2 million people from all over the Philippines every year.Aside from the religious aspect of the festival, Sinulog is also famous for its street parties, usually happening the night before and the night of the main festival.

One of the main highlights of the festival is the grand street parade which lasts for 9 to 12 hours (practically the entire day) with participants coming from the different towns and cities of Cebu and from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao across the Philippines. The Sinulog dance contingents are dressed in bright coloured costumes dancing gracefully to the rhythm of drums, trumpet and native gongs. Smaller versions of the festival are held in various parts of the province, also to celebrate and honor the Santo Niño. There is also a "Sinulog sa Kabataan" performed by the youths of Cebu a week before the parade. Recently, the festival has been promoted as a tourist attraction, with a contest featuring contingents from various parts of the country. The Sinulog Contest is usually held in the Cebu City Sports Complex. The Sinulog Festival competition is divided into three categories namely the Street Dancing Category, Free Interpretation and Sinulog base categories. The free interpretation category has the most number of participating contingents coming from outside Cebu. The dance steps are fast and the storyline and theme varies from folkloric, mythical and historical lines. The Sinulog-based category centers more on the Sinulog ritual dance worship and the choreography is more "formal" the dance steps depicts the prayer dance which is the true identity of the Sinulog ritual dance. The Sinulog-based participants wear Filipiniana and Hispanic inspired costumes. The Grand Champion of the Free Interpretation, Street Dancing, and Sinulog base categories wins one million pesos (P1,000,000.00) respectively.

Also we all know that every sinulog there are celebrities who wants to join our festival Such like Coco Martin , Yassi Pressman , John Prats and other casts of Probinsyano. But not only Kapamilya celebrities, But also in GMA like Marian Rivera and many other. All of people who want to witness or want to see there celebrity idols. Millions of people wants to see with. And i am one of them. But In millions of people in the venue. What is the probability that All Kapamilya celebrities i see?

C O L L E G E D A Y S

                                     Second week of February College of Technological Sciences-Cebu celebrated the College Day or The Foundation Day. Every students are excited in all the activities. February 9, 2017. The first day of foundation day of the students including the teachers as well as the faculties inside the institution, All CTS-C community having an opening parade in Sambag 1, Basketball Court.

        

                                       All students in College of Technological Sciences-Cebu are Divide into 8 teams. Each team has it's own cheers, every team gave its best in every activities. All teams want to won . In day 1 there are lo of activities, all students are enjoying. There are lot of games and also not only games. there is also a awesome exhibits.

                                      On the second day February 10 , 2017. This day is another set of game will be played. And by the way i forgot. I belong in the pink team. This day will be the bingo game which this part is the students wanted the most. Because it has a big price.

                                       Day 2 same all students are still want to see and they're still enjoying the activity. Day 2 another set of activity being presented. One of this is the prince and princess each time has it's own representative including our team.

                                       Many teams are very hard to lose, as i have notice, each team are giving there very best to won the competition. And also our don't want to be a loser. So our goal is to win the competition because many teachers are expecting that it should be our team will win. What is the probability that our team will be the champion of this competition? 

EXPECTATION IN GENERAL MATHEMATICS

My expectation in this subject is that the teacher is jamming and  not very strict.
And have a play related to math. so that our class is exciting.
And i also expect that my teacher will provide me with the opportunity to learn and understand the concepts of the lessons in a way that i can understand and give adequate feedback on my abilities, in order that i can apply this knowledge and achieve my goal.
